Studio Koyo is changing…

FOR OUR MOST CURRENT PROJECT, please check out our feature film shot in the summer of 2015. A film crossing international boundaries and the story of people in a new country in the Balkans, and the country’s relationship with the outside world– from Kosovo all the way to Iowa. Currently the film is in Post-Production. Find out more at the film’s website.

Studio Koyo

Studio Koyo has changed a bit since opening in the fall of 2012. When it was opened, the initial concept was to capture lasting memories for people all around the world, and in a sense, this still has not changed; however, instead of weddings, event, and family films, we have been moving steadily toward telling stories from a different vantage point. In the first month of operation, Studio Koyo was asked to produce an advert featuring Alice Cooper. Since then, we’ve taken on projects around the world, from disaster zones in the Philippines, to Sake Breweries and post-tsunami life in Japan, to a commissioned work for the President of China, to interviewing the president of Europe’s newest country for our latest feature-length documentary film.

While we still occasionally consider commissions for client-work on a case-by-case basis, and when we are excited about the possibility of collaboration, we are otherwise taking time to work on our larger projects and assess our next step toward the future of the company.
